I also scan your posts but i rarely post! why you ask? well, frankly no one on my freinds list actually knows me and to write what i've gotten up to in english for my sister is slightly unnecessary if you ask me. (In other news ...I must be crazy, i am the only one in the UCL Cluster room at 8 am ! ) I'm off to Lanbroke Grove to gather goodie bags full of rizla and condoms and vinyl for the freshers fayre. Hope you're all dandy.
So i (start with a conclusion like a Romanian)dressed up in my extra long Mexican skirt and big hoop earings and my military jacket yesterday to meet my girlfriends in Harrow for a drink hoping dearly that i'd go to Trash afterwards.(otherwise i wouldn't have dressed like a freak in harrow) Of course i didn't expect them to come. You see none of my 'young' friends actually like dancing and music and clubs...It's a crazed concept for them and too much of a worthless effort.
Of course though, that on the other side of the coin, someone who is older, Sune also does not want to go out dancing either. And i wasn't gonna go into central london again like a 'yes' woman - (as in saying 'yes' all the time') so i stayed in harrow with my heart elsewhere. And it's not like i had mentioned the club in the first place. Bah. Meanwhile i had to listen (as always) to coarse sex sex sex talks from the girls which landed upon my sensitive ears with not the best of comfort.
All is well with the world though because at the bus station at midnight where drunkards gather and all sorts of ilicit happenings take place they now play loud classical music!! How truly odd. but nice. Maybe to dissuade crimes and abuses from happening. Surely they wouldn't do anything bad with lovely, relaxing classical music as a backdrop? A really lovely couple were sitting down next to me and she had flowers as well. Which made me feel sad and lonely. I want to be taken out and danced.
Ok, rant over, let's get on with the hours - the day is young .
My friend Joe is back from conservating tortoises in Latin America. Good day to him. x
Yeay, Glastobury's done and done and i can thus stop my envious attitude!
Yesterday i went to the pub with my friends and then i went to meet Sune at his manager's place in Soho. He was dj-ing for a little party- some annoying hip hop records 'straight outta compton'...?!Today he has a photoshoot for a magazine and NME have given the new Raves' album an 8. Then today i went by my Rare FM residence and picked up a full bag of cd's to listen too. I couldn't take everything so ive got Little Flames, The Rakes, Ladytron, Fisherspooner album,Hard Fi, Tom Vek, Fabric album, Willy Mason and some others. I'm not even gonna ask but i bet Monica hasn't listened and sent back the reaction sheets for the other cd's i gave her....has she?
We also got given £1000 from a sponsor.YEAY! Now we only need £600 more..Anyone win the lottery recently? Today i shall go to the pub with friends and hopefully to Trash!
Tommorow i have to take my grandma and buy her a serious bra.
The guy from Countdown is dead. How horrible is that? Is the show gonna go on?
You are Audrey Hepburn... Legend of the Silver Screen, international sweetheart, graceful beauty and survivor.
Supremely talented, you dance, sing, make films and have won an Oscar. People look to you for inspiration and praise you for your charity work. You are very humanitarian, possibly because you had such a hard childhood growing up in Nazi occupied Holland.
You are admired for your grace, poise and elegant beauty but, undernealth all that, all you want is love, security and safety. Not that you'd ever let on, you are of the old school, you'd die rather than make a scene.
I'm watching the mighty White Stripes live on BBC2 eating custard creams like a LOSER insted of being at Glastonbury. I WANNA BE THERE AND SHOUT AT THE TOP OF MY VOICE SO I dont actually hear the band and jump like a crazy jumpy person!!!!Jack looks like a Mexican bandit...(but he'll still do!)
Yesterday i had a wonderful time. Started off with me diligently setting off to uni to get some books for summer reading. I dressed up nicely, made sure my bag matched my belt and put on my fly-oversized sunglasses (which have broken but have been set back in place by a trusty safety pin. I ask you, is there ANYTHING IN THE WORLD THAT A SAFETY PIN CAN't SOLVE?)and thus walked off daydreaming and singing outloud towards the tube station. Halfway down of course i realised i had left at home my Library ID Card...as per usual (its only the most important id encased in a hugely red cover afterall...).Upon returning home after being immersed in an aura of calm, panic quickly set in as i could not find this trusty piece of identification. A crazed thought passed my mind- my sister must be responsible for this irresponsability of mine!!and she was...the id was in her room in Oxford. Thus i proceeded on a very unexpected trip to Oxford.
It turned out to be a fun fun time involving childish excitement at swings and swinging playground bars ( attempts which brought laughter to my ears from some unapproving strangers!), apparently being quite giggily annoying outside Martin's window, having glass bottled Coca Cola and going to the Cellar around 11. Where...we were persuaded out of our chairs by the crazy Violent Femmes/Cramps/Gypsy Tavern/Punky 'electrobilly' sound of extremely promissing Oxford band THE MULES!! They had the whole dancefloor's feet alight with dancing and really honest enjoyment. And if the fact that these guys are immensily talented (the lead singer is also the drummer, they have a crazy noise machine, a violin and a keboard) the keyboardist is the most good looking guy i've seen in a long long time! I really wanted to go talk to him using our RARE QUadfest as a professional excuse but i wasn't wearing my own clothes, hadnt washed my hair in a week ( not my fault, my grandma wont allow it. she says excessive washing 'stresses it out')and really wasnt feeling too confident. Of course i know i'm a big wimp. I do this all the time and then lesser girls get the guy while i cry my heart out afterwards. On the way home me and Moni couldn't find anything to describe him in than Little Britain's woman who goes 'He's just GAWRRRRGEOUSSSS,...simply gawrrrgeousss'. But oh my he was. And he was only wearing some kind of boxers resembling shorts with midlentgh hair - he resembeled 'the Dude' from Big Lebowski. And boy, did i dig his style.
Anyway the good news is they are playing on Wednesday the 29TH at the Water Rats and even though im meant to be working i shall attend. Anyone whose free and wants to see a band that im sure will get big should definatly come. I guarantee you will anjoy the show. I really want them to play our station's, RareFm's QUadfest taking place in October. They would really pleasantly surprise the crowd.
I'm also sad though because i was meant to be working tommorow at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park but my boss txt me 'irena, tried to call you.tommorow's attendances for the concert have fallen so you have another day off.' What does that mean i ask you? Is the concert still going on? If it is then BOOOOOO
Anyway, i am really jeloaus of you Glastonbury people.i'd have really wanted to see this live White Stripes performance. Mr Jack is so tanleted and i won't have anyone telling me different. He seems like good company too . I wanna be at a festival under the starry night right now!damn you all..
